...to Epsom Odeon yesterday to take my 3 and a half daughter (going on 7year old by the way she's devouring films/stories) to see the latest cinema incaranation of the Swiss Miss saga. A British film and very good, especially Max Von Sydow who's 76 now. My daughter and wife also enjoyed it, and the rest of the cast - including Geraldine Chaplin and Diana Rigg, but also good support from young Samuel Friend and a very old Jessica James. ...How sad it's only scheduled appearence amongst the summer blockbuster dross was at 11am each day. It felt like I was attending a dying breed of film - British and thoughtful and for children.
I recommend it to all member and one last thought to all who have seen Von Sydow act in the last 10 years: with due respect to all, but isn't Max and his performances the actor Richard Harris TRIED to be in later life? Sorry Rich' but its true!
