Just to show it's not all glamour with JA and because I know what you'd have said if I posted one of the werewolf instead!
Well, I'm up at nearly 1000ft looking towards Hadrian's Wall and 45 miles further north to The Cheviot so 6 degrees is a pretty normal August temperature here!

Apparently AAWIL has quite a cult following among males in the 30-40 age range - not so much for the fabulous story but more to do with you-know-who. Witness the interview with one of her co-stars in The Parole Officer.

You've twisted my arm, I will try and get a copy of AAWIL.

I thought 6 degrees above freezing was regarded as a heat wave up there

Unlike the sensible names near Bournemouth like Blandford Forum, Wimbourne Minster and West Parley.
(You can find silly sounding place names anywhere in the UK)

Eyes-oop-burn is one of my favourites - drive through every couple of weeks on my way up Weardale and over to the Lakes.

Little taster of AAWIL in the A&A forum

An American friend of mine met John Landis in New York and asked him why he'd cast Jenny Agutter as Alex Price.

Landis: Have you seen Walkabout?

Friend: Yes, that's when I fell in love with Jenny Agutter.

Landis: Me, too!

I wont say Miss Agutter is my favourite, that will stay with Diana Dors but when I was sixteen and you have managed to get into an 18 rated film and you see this very sexy nurse in a exciting and amazing horror film she tended to leave a mark in my memory and still does thanks to the wonders of DVD

Alright I'm convinced, I've just ordered a copy of An American Werewolf in London from Play.com.

I think the delightful Ms Agutter has appeared in so many topics on this forum on a regular basis that she definitely needs her own forum, decorated with lots of stills from Walkabout, Logan's Run etc (FELL can provide these I'm sure).

Fran, I'm getting Vampyres this week so I'll let you know what I think of those sexy, vicious, nude, blood sucking ladies. Looking forward to it.

Cheers,

I was talking of nudity in an artistic sense as I have painted a lot of people in the altogether, them not me. They have good artistic model bodies!

Not a bad idea - but I most definitely would not provide the stills you are talking about

Bride of Frankenstein.....ok, it's Hollywood, but British director and cast...or the fabulous and underrated Death Line...I have a very dark sense of humour!! - and I would love to see Unman Wittering and Zigo again...

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

I'd have to say The Wicker Man

There's been a few classics mind. I did enjoy early hammer.

the worst horror film ever has to be Jason vs Freddy although Jason X was also pretty bad. American film culture at it's worst. They see a sale, and man do they sell it. 10 friday the thirteenths? Was there really the need? I thought the first one was bad enough.

The Fearless Vampire Killers - played mainly for laughs, but a wonderful gothic romp

'Dead of Night' (2nd to none), 'The Wicker Man' (the most chilling moment is when Woody attempts to leave and the Islanders appear from behind the wall, while his back is turned), 'Night of the Demon', and 'The Legend of Hell House'.
