I watched this Brit movie on the film channel called "Bad Movies"
I thought it was great!!!
Waiting for it to come round again so I can get a copy of it. It's not in Halliwells, but is on IMDB.
Am I really a saddo, or am I not alone?

You're not alone Bob....

You'll find one or two of us are recording most (if not all) of MATINEE MOVIES/BAD MOVIES output. The ratios are rubbish and the logos are huge - but better this than not at all.

Same here. I have found that most of the films on Bad Movies (except the first film starting at midnight), don't have ad breaks. Also the on-screen logo is not as bold as that used on "Matinee Movies".

I've found that the movies on Bad Movies have a nasty habit of starting early whilst Matinee Movies are usually within a few seconds of their scheduled time. I've lost quite a few Bad Movies recordings because I've set my DVD-R to record dead on the scheduled time and thus cropped the first few minutes. Bleedin' annoying!

Most of these films are new to me except "POLICE DOG" which I recorded years ago from ITV. Good picture quality as well.
They seem to have bought a lot of Eros Distributors films.

Amazingly enough, I find I have got quite used to the MM icon and actually prefer to sit and watch that way rather than the naff title of BM !

I doubt you use tmpgenc but you can apply filters to idents that work in a similar way to gaussian blur to remove them.

I've always considered a gaussian blur MORE intrusive than the icon!

Ain't there supposed to be some device that detects if your proggy is starting late or something? Or is up to the channel to transmit a signal to your machine to detect overrun times?

Good morning boys.

Yup, it's called PDC I think. But, I don't believe Sky use it, and I'm not sure whether it would be smart enough for an early start either. At least on the Matinee Movie channel and Bad Movies you know the movie will be coming round again within a few days!

Default "No Smoking". (Reg Dixon.) 1955

Just watched this delightful Britmovie and am wondering why I've never heard of Reg Dixon. I thought he was a natural in the film and I wonder why he wasn't in more than the few things listed on IMDB.
Any thoughts?
