I would be very interested to view most of these - rather than collecting the videos as such.
I have currently HINDLE WAKES THE TUNNEL (surprisingly watchable early science fiction) AUNT SALLY THINGS ARE LOOKING UP HOLIDAY CAMP (the Huggets) Would anybody be interested in 'swapping' these - in the form of DVD copies - for DVD copies of other films in this series? |

Here are some more of the missing catalogue numbers:
Personal affair VC 3553 Curtain up VC 3514 Forbidden cargo VC 3491 Trouble in the air VC 3569 Heart of a child VC 3587 Its love again VC 3537 Dangerous exile VC 3579 Perfect woman VC 3497 A similar series was "The Rank Collection". I think Dear Mr Prohack and possibly one or two of the others were in this collection, rather than the British Classics collection. From the Rank collection I have: 60033 They were sisters 60053 Cottage to let 60073 Forever England 60083 They met in the dark 60113 Don't ever leave me 60133 Gangway 60143 Flame in the streets 60193 A place of one's own 60243 Once a jolly swagman The Rank Collection was issued by Carlton about 1995/1996, retailing at £9.99, whereas most of the British Classics collection were budget releases (retailing at £4.99) and were released in 1997. The first 15 - 20 of the British Classics collection initially appaeraed at full cost, but the series was downgraded when the bulk of the releases appeared in 1997. Best wishes Mike (MrT) |

Hello, everyone
I've not logged on here for quite a while, but a welcome change of career means I can spend some time on t'internet again. Keep a lookout in charity shops for hard-to-find titles, as the demise of VHS has resulted in some very interesting stuff turning up. I just today got Stormy Weather, from the British Classics Collection, for 99p. I've also managed to pick up close to 20 rare and unusual Italian Westerns (off-topic for here, I know) from the same RSPCA shop in Rothwell, near Leeds. Nice to be back! |
