The films I like are probably best shown by the list that I've written IMDb plot summaries for. They impressed me enough for me to write a plot summary. There are just short of 300 titles in that list, 271 films & 25 TV shows. That's not an exhaustive list of all the films & TV shows I like, but it should give some idea of the type of thing and the variety. There are even some in that list that were made in the 21st century thus proving that it's not only the old films that I like ![]() There are some where I just couldn't write a plot summary, like for A Matter of Lire and Death, because they're supposed to be dispassionate and I can't be dispassionate about AMOLAD. Also, there were quite a few where I only wrote a very short summary and they are now listed as Plot Outlines and don't come up on that list. Steve |

Thanks for that Silverwhistle.
Strangely, I "heard" your reply in a strongly northern accent... Quote:

It's not often I make a speeling mistook - especially for that title. Maybe it's because I don't write it full very often? ![]() Steve |

Still available to view on the Film 4 site. It was just a little thing that Film 4 included in an empty slot (it's only about 12 minutes) without even including it in the listings. I just happened to be watching at the time and it really impressed me. Steve |

I've kept out of this thread because my favourite movie of all time would probably have to be an American one- namely:
The Last Flight (1931) (But closely followed by just about any old 1930s Brit-musical, and in particular "That's a Good Girl" |

They've probably been mentioned a hundred times already (I havent read the full thread
) but I'd go with "A Matter Of Life & Death", its as if a magician waved his wand across the celluloid ![]() Either that or "Performance" anyway....this is difficult actually isnt it?!! |
