Hi has anyone noticed when a film is remade the original movie sky rockets in price on DVD, some that have were;
The Wicker Man
War of the Worlds
The Haunting
The Ammitiville Horror
The Hills have Eyes
and many many more why cant they just leave the prices alone, what do they think we are all going to do rush out and buy it because a remake has been done, alright im one of the guilty but please stop bumping prices way up.

Originally, I thought it was because the DVD Trees were now more expensive to cut and process when they made new DVDs. I have been since assured that's probably not the case...

Well...

Could it be that, if the remake producers have profit-rights to the original, then they realize their remake stinkers won't likely recoup all their money so they're trying to use the original's DVD sales to cover their losses?

Heaven knows it'd be too difficult for them to actually make a BETTER film...

I think they should go back into DVD Forestry Services instead.
