Donor Access

I was wondering whether anyone has had any experience of obtaining films from the BFI via their donor access scheme. A couple of years ago I was able to obtain a film for the late William Franklyn through the scheme but my memories of the process have faded in the interim. Does anyone have any thoughts on the ins and outs of the scheme as I'm hoping to go through the same procedure again.
