I noticed in this week's Radio Times that the screening of TRIPLE CROSS on Tuesday November 1 indicates that the film will be broadcast "Analogue Widescreen". But does anyone know exactly what this means? I'm planning on recording the film, as I'll be out at work, but don't want to record it via my Freeview receiver if it means I'll end up with a 4:3 full frame version to watch when I could have recorded a widescreen version from my regular aeriel reception instead.

I'd be grateful for any words of wisdom on this matter, especially as the film plays soon...

    Thanks!

I think that notification is there for people with Analogue receivers. Digital freeview receivers will also receive it in widescreen.

Ok, thanks for that. In any case, I assume that this broadcast will be the same as the version already available on budget DVD...

    Triple Cross (1966)

    Terence Young Biography

This is the obvious stuff, I'll keep digging and see if I can come up with anything else.

As background also worth checking out the biography of Eddie Chapman that came out last year : Agent Zigzag, a riveting good read
