Default Importance of Being Earnest 1952 Poor Sound DVD

Hi All,

I've just bought Imortance of Being Earnest on DVD and the sound quality is appalling. It is very quiet and muffled.

I see it was previously released as one of Carlton's Sliver Collection. Can anyone tell me if the sound quality is better on that version?

Thanks very much,

Phil

I haven't watched it in a long time, but it was perfectly adequate.

On my Carlton DVD of 'Earnest' the sound is poor. If I turn down the bass and boost the treble it is just about acceptable but certainly nothing to write home about.

Phil,

did you get a copy released by Infinity?

They also propose to release Brief Encounter (1945) later this year, according to Sendit.

Thanks to everyone for their advice.

I've got it on Infinity (INF280)
Looks like it's being re-released in June (INF317)
Hopefully the sound will be fixed on this release...
