Yea, I read the review in today's Times and it sounds more than interesting, features David Thewlis which can't be a bad thing

Could be worth watching for David Thewlis alone. Anyone know what part he plays?

I read the book of this when it first came out and was a bit disappointed, to be honest. The end was inevitable - you could see it coming for ages - and was one of the least plausible I've ever read.

Will be good to see if the film shapes up any better. The Harry Potter books were rubbish, but Cueron's films were really good.

He's the Camp Commandant. It's his son who meets the titular Boy in Striped Pyjamas

I stumbled across the premier to this last night at the Curzon Mayfair on the way to my local watering hole. Well, I spotted Ken Loach walking along Curzon Street and deduced that he was going to the cinema so walked by that way to see what was going on. A massive crowd of 30 people....and they were the photographers penned in each side of the entrance!.... and about a dozen onlookers watched numerous celebs enter the cinema, all quite exciting really but very low key compared to the west end premiers.

This films end made me weep. I have been tempted to buy it, but everytime I am, I remember what happens and I don't. The thing is, it is a really good film. With a cast of great actors. But too sad for me.

It is an incredibly moving film. I know the book had a lot of criticism but I thought it was brilliant and accurately transferred to screen. The two young boys were very talented.
