Default Original billings/Double Bills

Hello,

Rememer the days of the double bill? Is there a web site where you can check where films originally played on the bill and with which other film? I was interested to learn recently the Wicker Man played before Don't Look Now when they originally released in cinemas.

Anyone know of other orginal great double bills??

Bring back the double bill I say!!

Hammer horror films were often on the same bill as a French film. The Quatermass Xperiment went out on a double-bill with Rififi - now both classics in their own right.

Yes thank you I'd forgotten about Quatermass and Rififi - seems amazing now. If my memory doesn't decieve me I remember seeing a 20 min. film about the East Coast Rail line before a screening of Cronenberg's 'Videodrome'!!! I love these incongrous pairings. I also remember reading that the Charles Bronson movie Borderline was top of the UK box office charts but only becuase everyone went to see the support movie: Hellcats, Mud Wrestling!!!
