i thought this was quite good you could see a few of the jokes coming but i still had the occasional chuckle at it .

why is it buried away at 8.30 on bbc2 on a monday night when its better than some comedy shows on at primetime bbc1 ? ie the dreaded my family

I think the chocolate willies are what consigned it to beeb2. I agree it was enjoyable, hope the standard is maintained for the rest of the series (but hopefully no more choc willies).

Yes I rather enjoyed this too, and a good first episode which is often tricky.

I do like her as a performer, she's somewhere between Joyce Grenfell and a young Hattie Jacques; but I was hoping the material would be stronger....but early days, I hope it improves.

The material has already been through the radio-testing stage (as Miranda Hart's Joke Shop) so I doubt it's going to change much.

armstrong and miller [ who i like ] can be fairly rude sometimes unfunnily so .

this miranda show wasnt neccessarily the funniest thing ive ever seen but i did begin to like her and had the odd chuckle .

more than ive ever had with green green grass ,my family and others that get more prominent scheduling

I quite like Miranda Hart, but I didn't think this was particularly spiffing. One thing that did surprise me was the pre-watershed timeslot for an awful lot of knob gags.

    Enjoyed it.

Also thought Sarah Hadland looked very nice...particularly in her vomit green tight trousers!

Thanks for the link Captain, I really must read the online Guardian more often instead of that other rag with the big wooden spoon I usually scour, it's becoming worse than the Sun for stirring lol, some interesting and impartial articles in the Guardian I see.

Miranda is the only reason I watch 'Midwife', love her jaunty, jolly hockey-stick type humour, funny without being smutty, we could do with a bit more of that days, I hope over time she receives every award going.

Everytime I see the thread "Miranda" I think it's going to be http://pro.imdb.com/title/tt0040597/and I'm always disappointed when it's about Bridget Jones, sorry, Miranda Hart.

Tread very carefully. As a card carrying bleeding heart tree hugging pinko I have to say the print edition edits out most of the knee-jerk mindless "I love mankind it's people I can't stand"* commentary, whereas the online version ... er... doesn't.

One of my favourite Charles Shultz lines.

I think we should start one. Will see what I can do later. Have a good day, all.
