I'm so glad you enjoyed it, although I fail to see how I can be bigoted against my own countrymen (or should that be "countrypeople") in some of the trendier suburbs of London.

Never mind, my humour can't please everybody it seems.

Roast potatoes should always be cooked in the bottom of the meat dish.

If you can always try to use the local butcher if he's good. Get to know him and he will tell you about how to buy and cook meat.
If the fat is yellowy then the cattle have been grazed on the land. White fat means artificial feed.
Try to avoid buying bloody meat, always wait until there is no blood.
Steaks should have the texture of putty, ie press your finger onto the meat, should leave an indentation.
Meat which is bruised means the cattle have been pushed or herded against steel barriers, not treated very well.
I walk past farmers fields every day, cattle and sheep grazing, calves with their mums. It doesn't make me want to become vegeterian, it makes me appreciate 'mother nature' and not waste food.

regards

I see that Jim Davidson was 'asked to leave' 'Hell's Kitchen' because of remarks made to that gay bloke, Brian, the wannabe who was on BB.
I have to say that, unusually, I had a little sympathy for Davidson because there is no doubt that the man is a pain in the bottom and has a very high opinion of himself!
However, when you start plying a man with a legendary drink problem (and an attitude) with alcohol, then you are deliberately 'fanning the flame'!

Brian must be the only gay bloke I've seen who can stop shaving - and look even more effeminate!
I'll start watching it when he gets voted off - however, if all the BB fans are suffering withdrawal symptoms and are watching it, it's more than likely they will vote for him because they don't know anyone else!

Perhaps I'll start writing my memoirs!

I watched the last half hour last night and I found JD's behaviour dreadful, but it wasn't excessive wine consumption because he's needling him in the kitchen all the time as well. Every time he is in the BB bloke Brian's company he just goes on and on about his sexuality. There are a thousand things they can talk about, but it all keeps coming back to the fact that Brian is gay, as if it makes the slightest difference to anything.

His school bully attitude was appalling, but it got me thinking that perhaps after so many failed relationships with women perhaps JD fancies the Brian. The verbal abuse is just a defence mechanism to turn the Brian bloke against him, just in case JD gives in to his true feelings and gets rejected!

Ha! Ha! Ha!
Oh, samkydd - that gave me food for thought! I'll never look at JD in the same light again now, all because of you!

While he may not appear to have been drinking in the kitchen, it is possible that he had access to the 'cooking sherry'. OR - perhaps it was the LACK of alcohol that fuelled him?
Sadly, Brian will continue to get up MY nose - and his sexuality has nothing to do with it.

I didn't see the programme but I have no time for Davidson or any other homophobe ..... but I have to agree with Starry about Brian being a pain. He used to (maybe still does) co-host a kids tv show. One of the features was Beat Brian's Brain in which young kids used to come on and ask him questions. If he got them wrong they got a prize, if he got them right they got nothing. I have no problems with that, but when the kids ended up with nothing he used to taunt them and take the piss out of them. If they asked a question he couldn't answer, crikey, would he get the hump. A very, very large ego at work there I thought.

Good riddance to Davidson though .

If I was a producer I'd be relying on the more controversial people to stay simply because apart from Brian and Jim Davidson, the rest are quite dull. Going by previous banality type shows I've seen or heard about, the confrontations between participants, stage managed or otherwise, seem to keep viewers tuned in night after night! They'll now have to contrive some sort of fall out between two of the others to keep any interest in the programme alive!

jim Davidson was awful on Hells Kitchin his attitude towards Gay people was terrible calling him a shirt lifter, and he seemed to think he wasn't being offensive i cant see how unless he is purely thick as two short planks. Brian however never once retaliated back and started calling him names so in my opinion Brian won the round by acting cival its more than that biggoted loud foul mouthed person can do.

I will always believe that Davidson was drunk - according to his ex-wives, if I remember, he's not a nice drunk.

Davidson was horrible to him and there was no excusing his behaviour, but it was milked for all he could get out of it by Dowling. Dowling was very poisonous to the openly gay chap they had on Big Brother that year? Very hostile, cried when the guy had a go back at him and played the wounded party all the time for sympathy.

The gourmet restaurant kitchen environment doesn't get the "celeb plebs" in amongst the great unwashed, you know people like us who might contaminate them.

Perhaps a similar programme could be devised where they have to do real jobs in the community; Celebrity Wheel Clamper would be a good start, Celebrity Public Lavatory Attendant another (although for some it would be familiar territory, an idyllic "cottage" ), Celebrity Burger Flipper at Midnight on a Friday, Celebrity A&E Healthcare Worker at Midnight on a Satuday that would really put them through their paces and arguing with each other wouldn't be an option!

Celebrity Community Constable, filmed in Blackpool on a Saturday night. I'd tune in for that.
