Eddie, from Frasier the scene-stealingest animal on tv who apparently got more fanmail than any of his co-stars

A few of you know how much I love animals and I've had the opportunity to capture a number of them when screencapping various programmes recently.
I particularly enjoyed finding these two cats in the Armchair Thriller story The Limbo Connection, Pt 2:
They were among the many cats belonging to Beatrix Lehmann's alcoholic character Blanche Terraine.
There was also a close-up of Vass Anderson's guard dog in this episode, which I will include next time.

The cat that would only eat one brand of cat food in The Long Goodbye, forcing Elliot Gould's Philip Marlow to go to the supermarket late at night, but they didn't have it. So he gets another brand, tries to fool the cat, but it doesn't work. I had the same problem years ago, although in my case the supermarket chains stopped carrying the brand and I had to go search for it in smaller markets.

The cat in this scene didn't like Leslie Caron. According to Alan Jay Lerner, it was docile with everyone except when handled by Leslie and would turn into a tiger. Vincente Minnelli personally picked the cat and insisted it be used, so it was drugged. Lerner said it was because the cat had good taste. It was a lousy song. By the way, Caron was dubbed in the releaed movie, but this is her singing. Because this particular song requires such a limited vocal range, I think her voice is fine for it, the slight off-key quality fits the mood.

There's a great dog in Age of Consent (1969). Played by Lonsdale he even got an on-screen credit as Godfrey.
Just a scruffy little mutt he stole every scene he was in whether it was chasing the seagulls or getting into the chicken coop.
He was tied up and left outside the hut by Bradley (James Mason) when he went off for the day. Godfrey slipped his collar and went off to have some fun of his own. When Bradley came back Godfrey put his collar back on and was waiting to greet his "master" - the picture of innocence

The waiter in that scene was played by Mike Grady - who later went on to appear in Citizen Smith (with Robert Lindsay). He is currently appearing as Barry Wilkinson in Last of the Summer Wine. I haven't been able to find a photo either!

Thanks, Hugh.
The Alsatian guard dog from Armchair Thriller: The Limbo Connection I referred to in the first post:
Alsatians appeared in another show I saw recently, the Ghost Squad episode The Green Shoes (1962):
This capture will probably turn up again at 'Anyone Recognise This Actor?' as I've no idea who he is:
"What do you want?"
