Google? Not a clever dick answer but what I would do. These search engines are always trying to sell you something.
I often read of certain shows being available on DVD/now available on DVD etc and have this query.
Is there somewhere to look and find all the available shows on DVD in this country? And where this list is updated?
Thanks.

Bernardo, I know that using a good search engine is the sensible way forward if searching for a specific show, but what I meant was where do we go to find an A-Z of ALL the shows available? Shows that we've forgotten we ever saw years ago but when reminded tell us we would love to see again!
I've just ordered 2 series of Dear John...but only because I saw it advertised somewhere by chance.
Surely part of the fun is doing all the searches in the obvious places ... and the not so obvious ones. Just choosing from a list would be very boring. And when you say available does that just mean officially available (which excludes ebay, amazon marketplace, and all the other avenues selling titles which have gone OOP but where a copy is still being offered for sale).

That is rather what I am after, didi!![]()
Even better, a list including the ones OOP but still available somewhere!![]()
I think one of the best ways of finding out what's available is to read the threads on the Britmovie site every day![]()

i was looking for something similar.is there a database that will tell you if a program/film was ever released on vhs/dvd?
Amazon lets you search by genre, perhaps typing in British TV would produce a fairly comprehensive list of what is currently available and what once was but is now deleted but available as Used.
For everything else just type unreleased into iOffer.
I always check first with www.amazon.co.uk and www.play.com who both have advance information with pre-order option as well as used stuff - which you should never turn your nose up at; I've bought some excellent used DVDs.
