NO !

I remember the olden days when 'jokers' like him would regularly be punched in the head by those who could even be bothered acknowledging their pathetic existence in the first place.

I haven`t seen tonights episode yet but yes, he is annoying, but so is the young boffin with black curly hair and glasses.
By the way, the female paradmedic I am sure used to be in a childrens programme in the late 70s, a child herself I think, by her age I think she must have been, can anyone remember what it was?

All three of the young new recruits are bad characters (like something out of Holyoaks), but the difference with the Lenny character is that he's obviously supposed to be the likeably amusing joker and endearingly cocky - nope, nope and NOPE!
I was sure I remembered her from some 70s kids show too, but according to IMDB Jane Hazelgrove's first part was in Threads in '84. I find her Dixie character annoying too, very bossy and hypocritical.

Jane Hazelgrove was in Coronation street for about 10 months during 1985 as the youngest daughter of the Clayton family, Mum Connie had a row with Vera Duckworth over a silver lame dress she had made for her, maybe being a Corrie fan as I that's where you recall her from?Originally Posted by faginsgirl

I was sure it was before that Mark. I am thinking now maybe it was just someone who looked like her lol.Originally Posted by Mark O

I'm the same as you fg, I'm sure she was in some kids show and there were a few people around who looked a bit like her, but I'm pretty certain it was her.Originally Posted by faginsgirl
Hi.
What a harrowing episode it was tonight!
A great performance from Georgia Taylor and Mathew Kelly always seems to fits right in to any psychological drama these days too.
With drama like this it`s not suprising that Casualty continues to be on our screens year after year.

I haven't watched Casualty for years. I loved the early episodes and have the first three series on DVD. It was groundbreaking drama back in those days.

I've had a feeling that the writers have started to run out of ideas. I've seen nearly every episode, and some of the old plots are being updated and recycled.
One of the good things about the early years there were a couple of new characters introduced each series in the form of student nurses. It helped launch the careers of Julie Graham, Kate Hardie, Adie Allen, Eddie Nestor, Lisa Coleman and a good many others.
Do student nurses no longer existed in modern day A & E departments?
Casualty and Holby have become unwatchable. I know it's supposed to be entertainment and not meant to be a reflection of the real NHS but when they hold emergency meetings about the future of the hospital in the stairwell and only a dozen people attend!! Laughable.
