Anyone else watch Football Focus and want to shout at the screen SHUT UP GARTH CROOKS! Gaby Logan's not much cop either. I hate say this but the BBC's footy results programme is far inferior to Sky's - very very rare that I prefer the Murdoch model

Worst pundit on TV now that Andy Gray has 'moved on'. Can't stand the bloke.

I post on a football forum and Crooks is almost universally detested there, although I've never minded him and can't see the problem myself. He can be a bit pompous but I regard him as one of those rare individuals where the pomposity is quite endearing. Give me Garth in preference to that smirking, arrogantly smug Mark Bright any day!

I'll take BBC or Sky football anytime rather than watch any ITV football coverage with Adrian Chiles.

Agreed they inflict Mark 'y'know' Bright on us a co-commentator on so many game on BBC TV/Radio and he never shuts up! Absolutely awful, the worst pundit on TV, and my God that is some achievement :P

Crooks asks stunningly banal questions in the kind of convoluted, slow-paced and pompous style of someone interrogating Wittgenstein. A ludicrous fellow.

I know exactly how the original poster feels. His arrogance gets me as well. Nobody knows as much about football as our Garth. Yeah right!

He is a standing joke amongst football journalists and media. At press conferences there are audible groans from the press pack when he is selected to ask one of his convoluted questions.
