Looks good. Documentatry on Eddie Chapman tonight BBC2 9pm-10pm. Telling the story of Agent Zigzag. I loved both the book and the film.

Many thanks for the reminder Cassidy ... I'd forgotten this was one tonight.
I heard part of an adaptation of the book Agent Zigzag on BBC Radio4 Extra and it sounded absolutely fascinating ... heard about his meeting with the glamorous Dagmar in a local bar, and how both were very attracted yet suspicious of each other, however, both were double-agents working for the same side ... Chapman for the British and the beautiful Dagmar, posing an enchanting and enticing German femme fatale, was in reality, I think, working for Norwegian intelligence.
I must find some spare disc space for recording ... looking forward to the programme.

A fascinating tale and the previously unseen film of Eddie Chapman was excellent however the " comic " presentation I felt to be out of place and detracted from the story.

Fascinating picaresque character - the book is well worth reading.

Apparently Tom Hanks no less is involved in developing a film about him. Hope he isn't going to be playing the lead.

I see that Eddie Chapman is in contention with Sgt Maj Charles Coward (The Password is Courage) as the only Englishmen to be awarded the Iron Cross
