I thought it was Fulham, but my mate the Ginger Gooner reckons it was Orient!
Hiopefully I haven't double posted this - apologies to all if I have. Does anyone know what team Budgie supported ? I'm thinking Fulham or Chelsea, am I wrong ?

Orient ? Isn't that a bit East for Budgie Bats ? Must confess I haven't seen it in years.
I still reckon it was Fulham.
Just saw the thread title and thought Fulham. If that counts for anything - can picture him with a Fulham scarf around his neck - also Fulham seemed quite popular with writers for some reason - Citizen Smith, Minder, Man about the House to name but a few.
Cheers Sid, you've just reminded mr=e of a long lost pal who always used to say "There's never been an honest man come out of Fulham". He was referring to the manor not the team and he was born there !
I always thought it was Fulham too
one of the episodes was called "Glory Of Fulham" but cant remember if that refers to the team the area or Budgie himselfbeing a Fulham boy it could be Fulham FC, Chelsea FC or even QPR

Had never considered QPR Doc, seems more likely than Leyton Orient - Budgie regular in Leytonstone I just can't see it !
The evidence
This is indeed from the episode Glory of Fulham (1972) and was originally posted at 'Miscellaneous Sets:
I don't know if this had anything to do with the show but goalkeeper John Burridge had the nickname 'Budgie'.
Well that's settled it cornershop, well done. By the way West Ham's Johhny Byrne (1962-67) was also nicknamed "Budgie" - because he wouldn't shut up, on or off the pitch !
