Default Ghost Story for Christmas

Does anyone know if BBC4 have a new Ghost Story for Christmas this year, or if they are showing any old ones?

Default Thanks

Many thanks for all the replies. Shame that the Ice House and Stigma are not being shown again. I know they are below par but it would be interesting to see them again.

I remember a tv play many years ago called AHMAL AND THE NIGHT VISITOR, which seemed to me at the time a sort of ghost story, I wonder if anone else remembers it.?

Well, they could be; the schedule above only goes up to Dec. 20 - I'd be surprised if more weren't on the cards.

Not wanting to be one to gossip, but, over on the BHF, a fellow mentioned that BBC4 are apparently screening the 'Dead Of Night' series episode 'The Exorcism' on Saturday December 22.
I couldn't find any listings for it myself as the current one only goes as far as the 20th. Hopefully, it is true and we can at last get to see this classic which I think has not been shown since it first aired back in the 70's.

I think one of the most chilling and disturbing series on tv was Tales of Mystery and Imagination..the story Lost Hearts was a blinder....anybody got it?

Whistle and the Signalman are real classics but I'm sure they are all worth seeing!

Whistle is indeed one of the best of these... my best friend introduced me to M.R. James' work at Uni, we used to sit up late by the (electric!) fire and I'd read 'em out whilst he poured the whiskey!

I have just got the BFI disc of 'The Signalman' and watched it the other night, what a great little Dickens chiller it is, the reveal of the ghosts' face I found quite disturbing... The Treasure of Abbot Thomas is my favourite of the collection; I did have a DVD I got from Ebay with all of them on it (even the newer ones and some readings) and I think I only paid a tenner but the bugger has disappeared since I moved flat!
