Why are they are complaining about them broadcasting adult material after watershed? Isn't that its whole point so audiences know at what time programmes become unsuitable for children?

"Mimi's pussy needs some attention"

I'm sure lines like that have been uttered during Are You Being Served?

And where can we apply for the job of the Ofcom person who had to check it in such detail?

Interesting how the Guardian reports the story in lurid detail, complete with explicit quotes, without any fear of censure. What if children found the newspaper lying around? What would Polly Toynbee make of it all?

Putting morals aside I wonder how 'legal' this fine is?........when it says 'Ofcom' fined Babewatch, surely only a Court of Law has the power to levy fines, not some Board

As for 'Cock' and 'Tits', why is the Mum letting her Youngster watch this unattended, after 9pm, when any responsible Parent would have their Kids tucked up in Bed at that time?.......

All channels sign up to an agreement to abide by the rules laid down by the regulator - and to be fined by that regulator if they don't follow the rules.

If they don't sign up to that then they aren't allowed to broadcast

The "youngster" in question is 15 and how can a parent exercise parental control if the TV is in the youth's bedroom?

Surely responsible parents should ensure that ALL 15 year olds should be in bed by 8.00PM (with no tv in the room) as they were in my day......

A watershed is a watershed regardless of whether that is 2 seconds or 2 hours.

Having said that, you have to apply a bit of common sense and I'm not sure that this sort of stuff should be free to air. I'm not advocating censorship - make it available to those who are in a position to subscribe.

If you go to the OFcom website, Babeworld were 'done' in 2006. On that occasion they said they couldn't find the 'tape'. They were censured..... shoem mishtake here shurely.

Some nights around 11, there's progs about porn and it's subordinate 'education' on ITV, Ch.4 and Ch.5, almost simultaneously. It's great that now there's so much choice on TV I can watch a huge variety of.......................... porn.........
