When I heard about Wossy's remark I thought he was being satirical, which is what we would have thought if the same claim had been made by someone like Wogan, when referring to Wossy's salary.
With regard to Parky, I am sick and tired of his phoney self-deprecation, and his references to himself as a humble journalist.
A humble journalist would commence his show seated, not poncing down a bloody staircase to his own signature tune.
