He did the voice overs on Winner Takes All and when it got revived as an afternoon TV fill in he presented it (Tarby turned it down). He was also a C of E Vicar.

Probably still hanging around for another Tarby reject.

There's a radio programme about Mr Pastry that was broadcast on R4 in May this year that is attributed to Geoffrey Wheeler - but I don't know if it's the same one.
