Default Looks Familiar (Thames tv series, 1970s)

Looks Familiar (a 1970s afternoon Thames tv series, in which three celebrity guests on a panel discussed vintage film/tv clips)

Does anybody know if this series (presented by Denis Norden) survives in the archives ?

Guests included many British film and stage personalities of yesteryear, many of whom are (sadly) no longer with us.

It would be nice if BBC4 dug out more programmes like this !

i do have bits of pieces of these programmes but alas more of the trailers and excerpts they showed than the actual show. What a shame. One of those occasions when you wish you could go back in time and record the whole programmes.Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

It would be historically important - the radio version Sounds Familiar (Radio 4) does survive certainly - presented by denis Gifford. I remember it well - old stars like Stanley Holloway, Richard Greene and Pat Kirkwood would appear looking very well preserved talking about their careers.

Thats the joke that killed the Music Hall !
