A vague memory from the past tells me that Russ was either in his own show or guesting on someone's show when he had a cartoon character appear as he was playing. Thats all I can remember. Anyone know who or what the cartoon was?

I saw him on "Wheeltappers & Shunters Social Club" but I don't think there was a cartoon character's appearance....

Was it on the 'Pinky and Perky' show? The two famous puppet piglets who had their own show on British television during the fifties and sixties.
They often interacted with their musical guests.

By the by, Russ Conway also made a film appearance in 'A Weekend With Lulu' (1961).

It was not Topo Gigio but thanks for the pic - I liked him as well.

I think it was a man with a cap on but not Andy Capp
