I've gone through the Play For Today list but nothing rings a bell. Has anybody ideas?
Not this one?

"Play for Today" Leeds United (1974)

It was about a worker's strike in a clothing factory IIRC.

I recall this play, both Liz 'Vera Duckworth' Dawn, and Lynne 'Ivy Tilsley' Perrie are in this, before they worked for Baldwin's casuals in Corrie!

It was a total surprise for me at the time as a young Leeds fan because it looked it was going to be a play involving my club. Looking at it now it could well have been Colin Welland's play about striking factory workers intentially wrong footing the audience. I can't honestly remember and I know the play Leeds United certainly hasn't been broadcast since the late seventies possibly early eighties.

Can anyone identify this play?

A middle-aged man, working for social security, lives in a flat.

A young man arrives there. After a period of conversation, he ends up dead on the floor, possibly after an accident.

The older man wonders what to do with the body.
