Bringing it back with Bamber wouldn't have done much for audience figures. Do we know he actually wanted to do the revived programme? Maybe he's happy in semi-retirement. My alma mater didn't take part while I was at university, having been banned owing to this incident. |

I'm not sure if it was strictly a game show, but I did quite like Paul Merton's Thank God You're Here. Some of the celebrity(?) contestants were admittedly dire (the girl from Corrie being particularly out of her depth), but I found the show reminiscent of the sketches I used to enjoy in The Generation Game ("your next line's on the back of Lionel Blair's head").
