Looks like you go in for pornography right there in your avatar, big fella!
You know, I've been wondering how long it would be before someone would make a remark like that.

For the record, that is one of the happiest pictures I have ever seen ! And, though it may be difficult for some to believe, it is possible to feel happiness without any sort of sexual context.

OK. I guess the initial voiceless glottal fricative on the word "happiness" makes all the difference... Arf! Arf! Arf!

I was brought up in a TV era where the only sexual images shown were tops of bare thigh on stockinged legs and deep cleavages on The Benny Hill Show, Carol Cleveland's cleavage in Monty Python, and the occassional black and white buttock and boob on a late night BBC2 play or foreign film!

In the cinema we saw Confessions films which showed slightly more nudity and sexual fumblings of a clumsy humerous nature, and the odd Hammer Horror with its token lesbian vampires and that was it!

To see anything more explicit one had to wait for the home VCR age, or go to specialist cinemas and sit next to middle-aged men in long raincoats and steamed-up glasses!

Pornography was not something I wanted to see on any medium, and I think British censorship got it about right at the time. Going out with women was much more fun than watching some moustachioed porn actor romping around with two birds on a cardboard set, showing extreme close-ups of their more private anatomy in all its pulsating but gory glory!

So if such films as Deep Throat were shown on TV in the UK, I would be against it because just about every child in the land has a TV set in their bedroom, and has unregulated access. I don't thing being exposed to those sorts of images would be very helpful. Show it at a local cinema by all means, but I don't think you'd get many people laying out money to see it!

Would have agreed with the silly censorship laws 15 years ago, but porn is so easily accessed now over the internet that it all seems irrelevant.
Most Porn is mindless thuggery which is transported via the large US conveyor belt and is far removed from the erotic charged films of Tinto Brass or even some of the early pioneers of French xxx cinema.
Porn has been freely available in Northern Europe for some time now. The Dutch and Danes are all cool with it. They even sell it in French and Spanish supermarkets.
I don't know whether it would work on mainstream TV though. Wholesale change like that would not be a very easy thing to swallow.I would not subscribe to it ,and certainly wouldn't watch it.
