It is a generally good site, I've often used it. But like all similar sites, it's not perfect and shouldn't be taken as a sole source or used without checking

Steve
Especially if they can't get the name of the leading actor right!

Whatever happened to Robert Gillespie, anyway? I recall some unpleasant stories about his private life in the gutter press, and his career seems to have largely ground to a halt around the time Keep it in the Family was cancelled. I was only watching for Sabrina Franklyn, anyweay!

The last thing I saw him in was A Midsummer Night's Dream with Alex Jennings in 1996. He was Starveling and Cobweb - hardly leading roles, but then Alfred Burke was only playing Egeus.

. . . and new thumbscrews for me . . .

This is on Wikipedia ....

"Since the mid-nineties he has largely devoted himself to directing theatre, and recently set up his own production company - Jane Nightwork Productions. Productions have included David Mamet's Oleanna, Jeremy Kingston's Making Dickie Happy, and Eugene Scribe's Golden Opportunities, which was translated by Anthony Curtis, and which received it's UK premier at the Warehouse Theatre in Croydon in September 2006."

Daddy .... the frisbee has gone in the water .... what a finger puppet drama queen I am!

He had a great way of going suddenly beady-eyed and menacing, which he used to excellent effect in shows as diverse as Doomwatch and The Good Life.
