Or spot the Watford and Slough locations - I lived in Bristol when it was made and much of the series wasn't filmed there at all !

Proper repeat run BBC please !

I get irritated by programmes that show lots of clips of things you would happily watch in their entirety. Especially ones that have languished on shelves for 20 years.

BBC4 are screening one full episode (with only their logo in the LH corner of screen to trace any E-Bay bootlegging....)

This is better than none at all I think .....

That's what they usually do in this "Cult of ..." series. They have a few talking heads to explain/discuss something, usually with a few clips, then they show one episode of something from the archives

I loved Shoestring - think it is still the best thing Trevor Eve has done. And what about Hazell starring the under-rated Nicholas Ball? Plus that brilliant theme toon written by Roxy Music's Andy MacKay and belted out by Maggie Bell. Now that would be worth seeing again.

Thank you Bats for letting me know about the availability of the Hazell DVD. Incidentally, I believe Nicholas Ball started his acting career in The Stables Theatre, Hastings, E. Sussex which isn't a million miles from where I live.
