my sentiments exactly
Let Ross Kemp return to making Cereal adverts or better still get rolled over in Afghanistan

I happened upon a Callan dvd just after Xmas. It's got Eric Porter, Kenneth Griifith, Carl Mohner and Catherine Schell in it, as well as Peter Egan and the jolly duo of Woody and Russ.

Is it the same one you mean? It's on the web from a company called Stax Entertainment.

I haven't watched the blessed thing yet. My old man used to love Callan. That, and Public eye were probably his favourites I should think.

Cynical old goat.

That's the film version, made after the series finished. I think it's very good indeed - copies were all over the bargain bins a couple of years ago for a fiver, but the quality is pretty decent and there's an Edward Woodward interview as an extra.

He used to get more TV work when he was living with the editor of The Sun, she would make sure that all those silly series her did were heavily promoted.

But I think that even she's had enough of him now
