Default Being Human

Don't know if many caught this but it was a one-off drama that aired on BBC3 featuring a werewolf, ghost and (on the wagon!) vampire living together in Bristol. Its influence is probably the US shows like Buffy (Snow Patrol etc feature on the soundtrack) but there's also subtle hints of British horror like American Werewolf. Its been commissioned as a series but if you get a chance do investigate the pilot.

The pilot was rather good, and we thought that the three leads acquitted themselves very well. Good news about the commissioning of a series - I hope they don't tinker about with the format too much. I reckon a series would be best served by a short run, say six or eight episodes at most, so that they don't start to struggle with the format.
