After much soul searching I have to say mine has to be The Old Grey Whistle Test, it reflected my musical tasted. Fond memories of the New's Eve specials with those old silent films backed with great rock music.
TOTP was ok but I outgrew it by the time I was about 16. I do have clear memroies of watching,Thank Your Lucky Stars and Ready Steady Go. when I was three or four. Who remembers the Dave Cash Radio Show introduced by Dave Cash, early mid sevetnies. Think it was made by HTV West, it must have been shelved for a year or two cos all the records had left the charts a while before the show was aired. Anyone recall show called Tickertape, a show that frequently featured the late great Jake Thackray. |

I'd have to go with The Tube as that's more my era. I'd also have to give a nod to off all shows, Crackerjack, as I fell in love with XTC after seeing them perform Making Plans for Nigel.

The Old Grey Whistle Test was tops I guess.
The Tube. TOTP......I loved to watch it just for the very bad miming really. ![]() Anyone remember the cringeworthy Supersonic ? with good ole Mike Mansfield and those sets more to an Ed Wood production than to anything else.![]()

The White Room with Mark Radcliffe was pretty good in the mid-90s.
You had Shane MacGowan fighting with his band and Iggy Pop forgetting to wear proper trousers in addition to great music. |

That was,"Thank Your Lucky Stars." Janice was a panelist on a segment of the show where they played new releases, along similar lines to Juke Box Jury. Janice was a teenager at the time and the show was keen to have the views of a typical teenager.
She capitlised on her catchprhase by releasing a single calle,"I'll Give Foive." i have it on a compilation featuring girl siingers, our Janice was no singer, terrible song but it does have curiosity value. |
