Of more recent western series "Lonesome Dove" I thought was pretty good. has anyone mentioned the Steve McQueen series? "Wanted Dead or Alive" McQueen more or less took that character and placed him in "The Magnificent Seven" and after the success of that film he left TV land for good

I would love to see the oriignal Maverick series, The Virginian(was shown as a filler by BBCabout eight years ago.

Gunsmoke ran for about twenty years, but I dont remember it being show when I was a small child in the sixties, mmight have been shown on other Itv regions. The BBC showed some episodes of the later seasons in the seventies didnt last long though.

Anyone remember ,"The Guns of Will Sonnettt," starring Walter Brennan ran for about two seasions in about 1966/67.was repeated on HTV in early seventies.

Would also like to see F Troop.

I wish it was possible to see every episode of Bonanza shown on tv but I believer there are problems regardin the rights, some episodes in the public domain are shown whilst others havent been aired for years.

Pity,Bonanza was brill.

Yes, I remember C4 showing that.

Deadwood meets my TV western needs at the moment.
