For me it has to be ruby , she was so funny, does anyone know if the actress is still working?

I saw an U/D 'reunion' prog a couple of years ago. Jenny Tomasin appeared, looking rather ill. Apparently she went through rather lean times after U/D ended, but I've been told that she has recently appeared in one of the soaps.

My fave character: Mrs Bridges, because I had a bossy and flustered aunt just like her.

This is what the IMDb is useful for

Look up "Upstairs, Downstairs" (1971)
Find Ruby in the cast
See she was played by Jenny Tomasin
See what else Jenny Tomasin has done
The answer is 4 episodes of Crossroads in 1979 and 2 episodes of Emmerdale in 2006 along with a few other things

For me, It was Hudson, for two reasons.

One because he was so loyal and dedicated to the family and kept the servents in order. Two, because he reminds me so much of my late father.

I love the series and love watching them on dvd. The good people of the Phils are missing out on so much excellent tv.
