Thumbs down Daytime Ads

I am sure I am not the only person to be iritated by the ads on daytime telly, about four years ago I was off work for a few weeks due to illness the only thing was able to do was watch telly,I watched the Paramount comedy channel to cheer myself up but was driven mad by the add.

Loan companies, accidents direct. I hated the one for injury lawyers for you when the Woman in the ad says,"Will I get a hundred per cent of the compensation in a very antagonist tone of voice.
Also hated one with Carol Voderman with jaunty world music tune on the soundtrack.

Phil Tuffnall did one about loans and he clearly looked af if he couldnt be bothered.

Anyone have any datytime ads that drive them potty.

Although retired I can't watch daytime TV because of its banality. I'm not interested in cooking, buying a new house here or in France, doing up a house, Improving my body or having my worldly goods auctioned. Having said that - on my hate list is The Wright stuff, Tricia, This Morning and Jeremy Kyle. Do these people really care that there are people who still want decent entertainment? Obviously NOT.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Try time-shifting. I record programmes from the night before and watch them while all the daytime dross is on

Steve - That's exactly what I do 'Timeshift' but I've got to figure out how I can 'Shapeshift' myself - carrying too much weight and all that. Besides my moan, I was also thinking about other people who don't have the benefit or understanding of how to record a programme.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Diagnosis Murder and Murder she wrote seem to have been going for years and as for Midsommer Murders, the same episodes appear monthly.

When ITV started their daytime schedules in 1972, they always showed b films especially Tales Of Edgar Wallace and Scales Of Justice , its never gonna happen but I wish they woud bring them back. Far more entertaining than Jeremy Kyle or Titchmarsh.

I have happy memories of being off school in the holidays and watching re-runs of Danger Man.

The BBC in those days had a job lot of old US sitcoms like Peticoat Junction and some lesser known shows that only run for a season or two in the u.s.

I had to watch Day time Tv for a bit..

Now I have all the incontinence products I can eat, a walk in bath I can drown myself in, wills galore made out to all sorts of semi-retired 1970's actors and enough insurance to sink the City of London when I finally electrify my stannah Stairlift and choke to death on my copy of Bella...

All men leak.

They can always hire a small child to explain the technology to them

I could do with that shapeshifting as well. Whatever happened to the slim young man I used to be, the one with a full head of hair? Never mind, I still enjoy my life, that's the main thing

There's a slim young man inside me that's screaming to come out as well Steve but I still have all my hair (I wouldn't have anyone elses) it's a different colour from the jet black I had but I still retain my charm - and modesty.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.
