My mother had a friend called Charles Stanbridge who was a lighting electrician. He worked on several Hammer films and a couple of David Lean films plus loads of B movies and TV shows.

He has a page on IMDB but only his work on The Quatermass Xperiment is listed.

I know Bobby Davro's brother, Dave. Our dads were in the Army together and he & I were in the same class at grammar school; I've known Robert since he was a nipper.

They are a really warm and generous family.

No, I'm Steve Crook (II) of course. Although I notice that there are now entries for (III) and (IV).

When I was growing up I always thought I had an unusual name. The internet has put paid to that idea. It's amazing how many of us there are out there
