George Hamilton 1v And Nana Mouskouri
Calm down these two have never been linked romantically, but both singers appeared regularly on BBC2 in the late sixties and early seventies under the show of the week umbrella,
Morecambe and Wise did too, Vera Lynn as well. Saw Nana on her farewell tour brilliant, her version of Bob Dylan's Hard Rain Is Going to Fall was incredible. She sang with Harry Belafonte in ths sixties on stage, Harry wanted her to appear without her trademark specs and Nana threw a bit of a wobbler. George Hamilton went on to do a series for Canadian tv which was always show as the last programme before closedown on HTV. Phil Cool refrerred to this programme when he had his tv show. |
