I normally watch the original programme with Kevin as it's quite interesting to see how creative and enterprising some people can be with house design, or just plain bonkers and detached from reality whilst building their 21st century folly.
Anyhoo, they've expanded it this week to Grand Designs Live with that renown architect Mel Whatshername (of Des and Mel fame), in what is unintentional comedy gold. Tonight's show was so shambolic that the Lily Allen show looks slick in comparison. The best moment was Aggie of 'How Clean is Your House' fame cleaning 3 sample pieces of material, so along comes sample 1 and Aggie furiously scrubs away but the mark aint budging so Mel quickly skips to sample 2, sadly this was 'the wrong type of stain' and refused to budge, so onto the third and an easy one (soil on carpet), Aggie advises us 'not to wet it' but after it too refuses to shift - poor Aggie is soaking it and rubbing it into the carpet until it's a bigger mess than she started out with. God bless people trying to be clever on live tv. |

I was just listening to some TV presenter on Radio 4. They were whining on about how terrible it was that all these estate agents were having to cut back and that it spelt doom for the economy.
But then you realise that the show she presents on TV is one of those like location x 3 and if people aren't moving then she'll be out of a job ![]() I think her best line was when she asked us to imagine if the supermarkets were losing X%. That would mean that nobody was buying any food and the economy would collapse. Yes dear, but buying food is a bit more essential to life than moving home is ![]() Steve |
