For me it would be....

Soap

The Addams Family (definitely not the Munsters)

Mork & Mindy

Bilko

In fact, Channel 31 , a community TV station in Adelaide, still shows Bilko. Not sure if Mork & Mindy would stand the test of time. It would only be for Robin Williams more crazed moments.

Hogan's Heroes and Get Smart still get runs here occasionally, though its been a while now.

Yeah, that's me. Billy Balthorpe, the man with no name.

Default The Flintstones Is The Honeymooners

When I first moved to the US, I watched "The Honeymooners" religiously and became a huge Norton fan. One evening in casual conversation my girlfriend (now The Mrs.) mentioned that "The Flintstones" was "The Honeymooners" remade as a cartoon. It seemed so obvious when she told me, but if she hadn't, I'm not sure it would have occurred to me.

ISTR Barney Miller got a repeat on Channel 4 some years after it was first shown there. But I don't think it's been seen again since then. Shame, it had a great cast. Especially Barney himself (Hal Linden) and Steve Landesberg as the philosophical Det. Sgt. Arthur Dietrich

Default Vintage American Sit Coms.

They don't always travel very well. I remember enjoying I MARRIED JOAN. I had to buy and watch out of curiosity. Still enjoyable, and she was a clever and eventually tragic soul but not quite as hilarious as I remeemberd. I am not ashamed of enjoying I LOVE LUCY and still find them diverting and interesting now I have read the biographies.

The Jack Benny shows which had standup/a situation comedy diversion and often guests... marvellous.

My own favourite was Burns And Allen. Smiling for 30 minutes, gentle comedy with no innuendo .

Most are still available from US suppliers... One thing we don't have now is the 30 minute drama: Peter Diamond. Peter Gunn ( great background music), Harry O, Maverick, the fabulous Lou Grant Show, Dick Van Dyke and many more. Visit
About TV Show Classics . I have and now enjoy a great collection of TV classics at a decent price, acceptable fidelity too... actually better than that.
