Yes they could do a Bowmans on it and have the entire cast killed off in a freak accident and then repopulate the place

That's the joke that killed the Music Hall

Lets get rid of these so called reality programmes, they are just trash tv anyway. I know one of the channels some years ago used to do a season of films either a theme or of an actor, lets have something like this back on tv doing British films , they could call it " The best of British cinema". It would make a change from the crap we have to endure now.

They may be 'crap' (I agree) but the populus are watching these programs and it is becoming self-perpetuating. Give viewers crap for long enough and their cultural expectations will decline to that level.

Was the past that much better ? The Val Doonican Show, The Paul Daniels Magic Show, Little and Large, Cannon and Ball, Tarby and Friends and many others. We have to be careful not 'rosetint' the past too much - it is all relative

That's the joke that killed the Music Hall

I agree with most of what you say , but programmes such as big brother and celebrity get me out of here certainly insult the intelligence of the viewing public I think. As you rightly say thhe cultural expectations has in my opinion hit rock bottom.
