Default Three Up, Two Down

Did anyone else love this? Starred Michael Elphick and Angela Thorne. Two very very different people, Sam and Daphne - rough and ready Sam had a crush on the snooty Daphne; the sparks that used to fly! It originally aired in 1985-89 but was shown again on Sunday mornings during...hmmm...must've been the late 90s, I think. Used to get me up in the morning!

I think my favourite episode must've been when Sam became the owner of a very large, ugly, and valuable old wardrobe that Daphne liked and he hated. In the episode, Sam managed to raise 50p for a charity or something, while Daphne raised £20. He declared she was simply trying to make his 50p look cheap, and that he was going to raise the extra £19.50 if it killed him. It all wound up with him selling the precious wardrobe for that amount, and Daphne looking on it utmost horror and disbelief...it was gold, pure gold!
