MY SON REUBEN

FEET FIRST

UP THE WORKERS

YANKS GO HOME

PARADISE ISLAND

all completely unfunny. FEET FIRST was probably ahead of its time being set in a football club.

The Detectives with Robert Powell and Jasper Carrot was a funny show, but came and went as quick as a flash. Some are repeated on the sky channels I believe.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR...YOU MAY GET IT!

Even when top writers such as Johnny Speight went over to ITV,they still couldn't come up with decent comedy. Here are my favourite ITV sitcoms which I found funny:
Keep It In The Family
Outside Edge
Watching
Ta Ta

Romany Jones has to be one of the worst. Even the death of the star (James Beck) couldn't bring a halt to its atrociousness.

Two with Andrew Sachs -

There Comes a Time (Sachs as dying businessman)

Dead Ernest (Sachs as dead poolswinner in heaven)

Maybe Sachs had a deathwish in the 80s!

I agree it was funny, but it was a BBC vehicle - that's why it was funny.

My goodness!

The ITV shows that people have come up with as bad must have been simply appalling - I've checked through those listed and have absolutely no memory of any of them. That's not altogether surprising as I don't think I've ever seen anything remotely funny on ITV.

All the best

I hated 'Not On Your Nellie' with a passion. Never found Hilda Baker funny.

Anyone remember these 80s ITV classics?
CHALK AND CHEESE
DR'S DAUGHTERS
What was the one that lasted just its 6 (?) episode run about some young Jewish guy(recall a motorcycle perhaps?) and it got shifted from primetime to a graveyard slot?

I hear the Union Jack still remains.I see Namijira in custody
and I see Truganini's in chains.
