I am not talking about
all films .... of course I often watch films where I know what is going to happen, but sometimes it is nice to watch something wthout prior knowledge of it. If you actually think about it from someone else's perspective for a change, instead of just your own, you would realise that
The Seven Little Australians is a perfect example of what I am talking about. I have not read the book, I have not seen the series, therefore I had no knowledge of this story at all, until someone else 'inadvertantly' revealed an important part of the story. In an open forum that is predominantly about films, I think it is careless for people to give away plot details without thinking of the possibility that someone else may not wish to share that information. All I am asking is that people be bit more aware of this when revealing important parts of a story, and that they warn others of this by either writing *SPOILERS* or by using the spoiler device. In another thread you state that the IMDB will not accept reviews etc which have 'hidden spoilers ..... if it is a good enough policy for the IMDB to adopt for the benefit of their users, surely the users of this forum deserve the same respect.
