Default Aussie archive tv

Care to share any tv shows from oz that were a staple of british tv when i was a nipper ...

skippy
barrier reef
solo one (aunty nan)
the lost islands
boney (me fave would like to see again)
riptide ?
chopper squad

i remember thinking it must be cool to have lessons by radio as outback kids didnt have to go to school, then got to go out in to the great outdoors

I agree about Boney .. great series!

Phoenix Five! Like Fireball XL5 only with real people.

Whenever I meet an Aussie of the right age I ask if they remember the show, and they never do, where as 40-something Yorkshire people always do. Apparently it never got repeated in Australia, but was practically the only imported SF series to be shown in the Yorkshire region in the early 70s.

I have never heard of that series either ... it sounds great!

Remember it well broadcast on a Monday in the HTV Wales /West region.

Adventures Of The Seaspray, or was that Canadian.

Know I am going a bit off thread here but anyone recall the Canadian series,"Doctor Simon Locke."

I do ... it morphed into a series called Police Surgeon ... the star was Sam Groom IIRC.

Not forgetting Sons and Daughters and A Country Practise. I too would like to see Boney again, the star James Laurenson was often seen on our screens in many a British drama series too.

JL was very good as one of the sleazy senior politicians in State of Play.
