Default Inside The Actors Studio

Does anyone know if if this programme is on any digital satelite channel these days, it was regurlarly on the Performance channel but that channel is now devoted to classical music.

I know that Sky Arts were showing some editons of "Inside The Actors Studio." some months ago but I cant see it being show this week in the listings the current Raido Times.

A very good show despite the fawning of presentor James Lipton., who constantly looks as if the world is on his shoulders.

The Peformance channel kept showing the same edttions all the time usually with actors or actressed I dint like especially Robert Downey Junior.

When it was first show on the Biography channel there were some very good earlier shows shown especially the interview with Jack Lemmon.

Sky Arts is a fairly watchable channel I like the Clive James interviews and the book programme.

Inside The Actors Studio is a great programme, despite the fawning presenter, and despite the audience applauding every time anyone mentions any film title
They've interviewed some very interesting people and unlike most interviewers Lipton really does know his stuff and does his research.

The Performance Channel used to be cable only when it started and I saw some great things on there. But now it's satellite only. But I still check their listings to see if there's anything I want a friend with satellite to record for me. But I haven't noticed Inside The Actors Studio being on for a while

Maybe he can "get down wiv da yoof" when it's appropriate but with older "showbiz royalty" like Scorsese he did seem overly fawning

Will Ferrell who is not to my taste ormally does a great James Lipton impersonation.

They have had some odd guests on The Actors Studio I once a two hour special devoted to Billy Joel, he was giving a musical master class of sorts.

Diana Ross has been on there its hard to believe that Lipton is in his early eightes. He actedin the Lone Ranger radio series in the states in his youth.
