Default Memorable Tv Mothers
There have been many memorable tv Mums over the years.

Here are my personal favourites.

Doris Roberts as Marie in Everybody Loves Raymond.

Mollie Sugden as Nerys Hughes' Mum in The Liver Brids.

Lucille Ball in her various sit com incarnations altthough her children dispareared during the run of The Lucy Show. However her real life son and daughter appeared with her in a few seasons of Here's Lucy.

Sue Nichols as Audrey Roberts in Coronation Street.

Mary Tyler Moore in the Dick Van Dyke show a great wife as well to Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke.0 one of the truly great female parts in a us sitcom as indeed was her role in the later Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Marion Ross in Happy Days.

Nancy Walker as Rhodas Mum in Rhoda..

Marje Simpson (Julie Kavner.)

Belinda Lang in 2 Point Four Children.

Wendy Craig in Not In Front Of The Children, Mother Mother Makes Three and Butterfilies.

Joan Sanderson as Prunella Scales Mum in After Henry.

Havent seen "Mother Love", Meryl Streep was a little scary as the Mom in,"The Manchurian Candidate."

Yes, as was Angela Lansbury to Laurence Harvey in the original Movie, I recall Lila Kaye in 'My Son Reuben' as an overbearing Jewish Momma, Doris Hare as Mum in 'On the Buses', Corrie's Ivy Tilsley always fussing about 'R' Brian and them Kiddies

Then there's Billie Whitelaw as Violet Kray in 'The Krays', the only person who could ever control the terrible twins!

I lloved Patrick Glover's Mother delgithfully eccentric, as you say she wasnt given a christian name. She was played by Joyce Carey and Donald Sinden would up turn up from time to time as Patricks brother.
