Smile Repeat fees

In regards to an advert - for kitchen paper - where an old Carry On...film is used with two modern actors inserted,do the actors in the film,or the late ones' estates benefit from repeat fees?

No - the "Carry Ons" were done for a flat fee and the actors got nothing for TV sales or endless compilations and reruns.

The actors were offered a percentage deal but the agents blocked it.

Sylvia Sims said she earned more money from the Carlsberg advert than she did from making 'Ice Cold in Alex'
