Default Sitcoms Based On Novels

Here a handful of sitcoms based on novels.

The Fall and Rise Of Reginald Perrin, by David Nobbs and his subsequent novels which were adapted for tv,

I Didnt Know You Cared based on Peter Tinniswood trilogy abouT the Brandon family.

Bless Me Father based on the novels by Neil Boyd aka Peter De Rosa.

The World of Bertie Wooster

Woodehouse Playhouse

The novel "M.A.S.H."by Richard Hooker was turned into a film which then spawned the tv series.

The same for Billy Liar culimimating in the LWT adaptation starring Jeff Rawle and Geroge A Cooper.

Anyone think of anymore.

"Brothers In Law" by Henry Cecil was first a novel, then a film and then a sitcom in 1962.

Outside Edge (a rare ITV comedy that was funny) was based on a play by Richard Harris - not Richard Harris the actor!
