A Japanese gameshow is reportedly coming to the BBC in which human contestants have to match the Tetris shapes or get dunked in a pool. It's described in the Indi as "deeply compelling rubbish".

At the first one or two maybe. But then when they started to just go through the gap totally ignoring the shape I just switched off

i can remember laughing hysterically at clips from the japanese game show 'Endurance' on tarrant on tv. the one that sticks in my mind was when the contestants had to drink pints of ice cold beer and water and such like and had to hold their wee in as long as possible. the best thing was was that they were right next to a river and had chemical toilets right in front of them, they were in agony - senseless agony! it was great fun for a 5 or 10 minute clip, but i couldn't sit through a full episode. this human tetris would probably make great kids tv though
